If You See Something, Say Something

In light of the recent acts of theft and vandalism at Tri-Rail stations and surrounding areas, it has become necessary to remind passengers to remain alert for suspicious activity while accessing the system. Criminal activity tends to grow during the last few months of the year, as we enter the holiday season.

As security officers are taking measures to protect passengers and property, including working with local law enforcement, we also count on the support of the public to be our eyes and ears during their travels.

If you see any suspicious activity, it is imperative that you contact our Public Safety Coordination Center at 1-844-200-SAFE (7233), available 24 hours a day. In addition, if you are certain that you are witnessing a crime taking place, it is always a safe bet to call 9-1-1.

Keep these points in mind when observing suspicious activity, as per the SFRTA Transit Watch Program:

  • Do not take direct action or engage in confrontation
  • Do not reveal your suspicions
  • Record as many details as possible
  • Notify the appropriate authorities as soon as possible (SFRTA PSCC 844-200-7233 or 911)

The level of security awareness of our passengers and crews should be raised to help us break from our daily routine and start to deter any future criminal activity from occurring at our stations and on our trains.

HELP KEEP TRI-RAIL SAFE FROM CRIME!
