Bicycle Locker FAQs

What type of payment methods is accepted?
For your convenience, we accept the following payment methods:

At Tri-Rail’s Ticket Kiosk locations: Cash or Personal Checks.
Online: Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express, as well as bank debit cards with a Visa or MasterCard symbol.

After payment has been submitted, how would I collect my lock and key?
Locks are already placed on the Bicycle Lockers. Once payment has been confirmed, the locker key is mailed via Federal Express within two business days. Only SFRTA issued locks can be utilized on your Bicycle Locker.

What should I do if I lose my key and need to gain access to my locker?
You should contact 1-800-TRI-RAIL immediately and allow up to 48 hours for access into your locker, retrieval of items and issuance of a new lock and key. Once a key is lost, there will be a $15 fee (the cost of a new lock and two keys).

What should I do if I find a Bicycle Locker key that does not belong to me?
You can turn the key into a Station Agent at any of Tri-Rail’s Ticket Kiosk Locations or mail it back to P.O. Box 5148, Lighthouse Point, FL, 33074-5148.

What should I do if I notice that my locker (or any surrounding lockers) has been vandalized?
Please contact us immediately at 1-800-TRI-RAIL to report the specifics.

Once I no longer need my bike locker, how do I get a refund for my $20 deposit?
Upon termination, the user shall remove any property from the locker and return the key to the SFRTA within forty-eight (48) hours. Upon receipt of the key and an inspection to determine that the locker is clean and free of damage, the user’s locker deposit will be refunded. A check will be mailed to the user’s address provided in the Membership Application within 30 days. Failure to return the key or remove any items from the locker will result in a forfeiture of the user’s locker deposit. Any unreported damage to the locker will result in forfeiture of the locker deposit. Any property left in the locker after the termination date will be retained by the SFRTA as abandoned property.

What if I don’t turn in my locker key after the 1- year membership expiration date?
Members who do not return their locker key after the one year membership expiration date will be charged a Replacement Key and Lock Change Fee of $15.

Can I request that my deposit refund be mailed to an address different than the one provided on the Membership Application and on file?
Yes. Unless otherwise noted, the physical address on the Membership Application will be the address that the refund check is mailed to; however, if such a change needs to be made, it can be noted in the user’s file. Changes can be made to this information by each user creating an online password for access to specific user’s information or by calling 1-800-TRI-RAIL and having a Customer Service Representative assist the user with any changes. All users are encouraged to keep the contact information on their Membership Application and on file current, which can be done at the user’s convenience online once a password is established.
