Important Reminder for Passengers Transferring to BCT and Palm Tran

All EASY Card customers who transfer to Broward County Transit (BCT) or Palm Tran must have a ‘Transfer to Bus’ ticket to receive a transfer discount.

To get your ‘Transfer to Bus’ ticket, follow these steps:

  1. Tap your EASY Card on the platform validator before your trip on Tri-Rail and tap off after you exit the train.
  2. Tap your EASY Card to the target on the Ticket Vending Machine.
  3. Select ‚ÄúReload/Transfer to Bus‚ÄĚ from the menu screen.
  4. Select ‚ÄúTransfer to Bus‚ÄĚ from the next menu screen, then select BCT or Palm Tran. Your ‘Transfer to Bus’ ticket will print automatically.
  5. Show the ‘Transfer to Bus’ ticket to the bus operator to receive your transfer discount. ‘Transfer to Bus’ tickets will be available for up to three hours from the time of issuance.

EASY Card customers who do not have a ‘Transfer to Bus’ ticket will not receive a transfer discount on BCT or Palm Tran and will be charged the full bus fare. Proof of payment receipts are not accepted for transfer discounts.

Customers who use a Tri-Rail paper ticket can show their valid ticket to the bus operator to receive a transfer discount.

Fare Enforcement

Passengers are reminded to have a valid ticket or EASY Card prior to boarding the train. This includes properly tapping your EASY Card to validate your fare.

Failure to have the proper fare could result in a written warning and/or a $50 citation. Please have your fare ready for inspection as the officers come through the train.

West Palm Beach Station Boarding Information

Passengers shall normally board trains from both platforms, with exception to the following afternoon southbound trains that will board from the East Platform (Track #2):

P633 (Departing at 3:36 p.m.)
P635 (Departing at 4:06 p.m.)

Any unscheduled track changes will be announced at the station.

Attention Deerfield Beach Station Passengers

COURTHOUSE PARKING LOT

Tri-Rail Passengers are not permitted to park in the Broward County North Regional Courthouse parking lot.

The Courthouse management has advised SFRTA that violators will be towed at their own expense.

Overflow lots are available to the south of the lot adjacent to the west platform and in the lot adjacent to the east platform.

Metrorail Transfer Station Boarding Information – Updated 4/19/16

Passengers travelling on weekday afternoons shall normally board all northbound trains from the West Platform (Track #1) after 3:00 p.m., unless otherwise announced at the station.
