Tri-Rail's has successfully launched its new automated fare collection system!
With the new EASY Card, you can add up to $150 cash value to pay your one-way fares, or load your card with all of Tri-Rail’s different fare products including the Monthly, 12-Trip or weekend passes.
The EASY Card contains an embedded computer chip that automatically deducts your fare when you tap the card on any of the new validators that are clearly marked and located on all station platforms. Tap on prior to boarding the train then tap off when you exit to complete your trip. It's EASY.
To pay your fare, go to any EASY Card vending machine located at all Tri-Rail stations, purchase an EASY Card for $2 and load the pass or value of your choice. You can also reload an existing card. Once loaded, make sure you tap your EASY Card on a validator prior to boarding the train to “tap on”. When you arrive at your destination, tap your card on the validator as you exit to "tap off."
FREE BALANCE PROTECTION - When you register your EASY Card, you will enjoy free card protection against loss or theft. If your card is ever lost or stolen, call us and we can issue you a new one and transfer the balance from one card to the other. You only pay a nominal $2 card replacement fee.
FREE AUTOLOAD - For your convenience, you have the option to enjoy free automatic loading. Call the EASY Card Center at (786) 469-5151 for more information.
Register your EASY Card by calling the EASY Card Customer Center at (786) 469-5151. The EASY Ticket cannot be registered for automatic loading or balance protection.
With the EASY Card, you must now pre-qualify to receive the benefits of a discounted pass. Employer Discount Program (EDP) members, students, seniors and persons with disabilities, must have their photo taken by a Station Agent and have it affixed to the back of their Discounted Fare EASY Card. (Children between 5-12 are not required to have their photo taken.) To pre-qualify, bring a government-issued photo ID such as your drivers' license and proof of discount eligibility to get your EASY Card on the spot.
